The Codorniu cellers at Sant Sadurni d’Anoia were built for Manuel Raventos between 1895 and 1915. At that time, Codorniu was producing about 100,000 bottles of cava per year. Now, a century later the company is producing 27 millionbottles per year. Beneath the Codorniu building, a labyrinth of subterranean passages extends for more than 30 kilometres, the argest cellers in the world. The cava produced is here is excellent. Raimat owns 2,245 hectares of vineyard. The grapes from these vineyards are used for the production of still and sparkling wines. Raimat has the earliestgrape harvest in Europe, the largest vineyard in Spain and the biggest wine producing estate owned by one family.
