COME INTO OUR KITCHEN AND ENJOY A HANDS-ON COOKING CLASS FOLLOWED BY A COMPLETE, WONDERFUL MEAL!
Join BEO’s unique team building Paella cooking classes in Barcelona and discover the secrets of our traditional cuisine. You will learn how to cook the authentic and typical dishes of Spain (Paella, Gazpacho, Tapas etc).
After being put into teams, you will start with a walking tour around the famous La Boqueria market, where you will use a shopping list to buy the ingredients you need to make your meal. We will give you plenty of tips on picking local and seasonal products.
The second part of the activity is where all the teams are transferred to a private venue on Las Ramblas where they have to prepare a three course meal of paella, or another chosen dish. This must be carried out within a set time limit and with the ingredients each team has bought. The instructions on how to make the paella can be given in English or, the more challenging option, in Spanish (with a dictionary for each team to help with translation!).
Each team member will get to experience how it feels to cook these famous Spanish dishes and once you have finished your masterpieces, they will be judged and marked by a professional. Marks will be awarded on the following criteria: Organisation, Presentation and, of course, Taste. There will be prizes for the winning team.
Once the whole activity has finished everyone gets to eat the meal they have prepared in a friendly and informal atmosphere, where the groups can mix and socialise over a glass of wine.
To finish, the event's manager will give some general feedback on the day and present the prizes.
